Acrylic on canvas
Behind the Scenes was inspired by a real work situation. I found myself drawing a conclusion based on my belief that I had all the facts, only to realize that I made a wrong decision because it was based on an incomplete understanding of the situation at hand. It is depicted by the white curtain covering large parts of the painting, but leaving enough open to allow the viewer to believe they understand how the parts behind the curtain are connected and fit together. It is meant to provoke viewers to always have a second, third and fourth look.
