Acrylic on canvas
Dangerous Passage illustrates the dichotomy between tough times and hope. The painting depicts a door in a room, all in red, representing danger and difficulty. Should one confront the situation or just hope for the possibility of something better behind the door? Making decisions in difficult situations is often driven not by objectivity, but by hope, and it is seemingly easier to open the door and step through it hoping to find a better situation. Often, though, it might be more prudent to take on the dangers and difficulties, and confront and solve them. At other times, it is better to take the plunge and step through the dangerous passage.
